Surf Outlook:
The south shores will find small surf breaking Thursday, rising some later Friday. Surf on the west shores will be small to very small through Thursday, rising some locally later Friday. Wind swell waves will break on the east shores…generally on the small side through Friday. The north shores will find a small to very small wind swell wrap breaking locally.

South shores - Surf will be small, locally a little larger. Later Friday into the weekend…we’ll see a late summer rise from the south.

West shores
-
Friday into the weekend, locally along these shores…we’ll see a late summer rise from the south.

East shores
Wind swell surf along these shores will remain small, as the trade winds remain moderately strong.

North shores
- There will be some small wind swell from the trade winds.

Note:
Wave face readings are approximately twice the surf forecast numbers indicated in the tables above.

I want to thank all of the Hawaii Weather Today surf report team for all those years of reporting on the TV weather show…which is now finished: Ole Olson on Kauai; Kaleo Ohina, Ian Masterson and Kyle Stanford on Oahu; Steven Mark, Mike Napier, Ken Potts and Ron Busby on Maui…and finally David Hume on the Big Island. Thanks to Mr. Pat Caldwell on Oahu for his continuing surf forecast skills.
~~~ Steven Mark and Mike Napier, both continue to send me daily surf reports for Hookipa Beach Park on Maui, and the Kihei area on the south coast.
